Zucchini muffins

We made Zucchini muffins for the letter Z. I first showed them a zucchini and asked them what they thought it was. A lot of them thought it was a cucumber.
I peeled it and cut it into little pieces for them to try.

Then I had them give me the thumbs up or thumbs down if they liked it or not.

We grated it.

Then we went to the table, used magic soap (hand sanitizer) and started making the muffins. I had them smell the nutmeg and the cinnamon to see which smell they liked better.

I already had the ingredients pre-measured and in baggies. They just poured it in and helped mix.

We (I) almost forgot to put the best ingredient in the muffins.. the chocolate chips! A couple of the children very carefully put each individual chocolate chip on top of the muffins. It sure made them look pretty!

Now the best part tasting them for snack! They were yummy and warm, right from the oven!

The recipe I used can be found here.
