Letter P day

This book is such a fun book! It talks about Pete having a grumpy day and his dad making him into a pizza, including tickling him to "knead" him, adding checkers as pepperoni.
We made yummy pizza for snack! They smelled so good, so good in fact that the children cleaned up before it was time to clean up .. all on their own, they were so excited to eat them!

Yum!

We played a game of rolling the die, then you got to pick from the box of Mr. Potato head to add the parts. It was fun seeing all of the silly Mr. Potato heads. It is good math skills for them, too matching the numbers with the die dots.

We also talked about Penguins. This is one of the books we read.

Part of the process of some of these art projects we do is being able to follow directions(besides having a cute project). We tell them what order to do the craft. First .. (usually write your name). They have gotten pretty good at following directions. We are finding that we are having to do things with more complex directions and more steps- they are getting so smart!
