Ice painting

When we talked about the letter I, we focused on "ice". Our craft was ice painting using paint popsicles. (We made sure to point out that these are not popsicles to eat and no one tried to taste them.) As they rubbed their paper with the popsicle, it melted and it painted the paper.

The Letter I worksheet also included a section at the bottom where the children identified and circled the I's among other letters. We talked about it during circle time and then asked them to repeat it on the worksheet. They all were able to identify the I's. We will work on this skill more throughout the year.
